Our Momentous Corporate Social Responsibility programme ...

Momentous is a global business that touches the lives of people all over the world. As part of the global community, we have a responsibility to do what we can to make the lives of others a little easier and to minimise our impact on the environment. We believe that social responsibility starts at home. We work with our employees to make sure they understand the importance of our CSR programme and the role that they each play within it. We always work with our customers and employees in an ethical and respectful way. Our CSR policy sets out the principles we follow and the programmes we have developed in areas where we feel we can have the greatest impact or influence.

Our CSR policy sets out the principles we follow and the programmes we have developed in areas where we feel we can have the greatest impact or influence:

Our People

We endeavour to attract and retain the talent that represents the core of our business. We try to be a good employer by focusing on training and development, diversity and equal opportunities, work environment, as well as employee vitality and satisfaction.

Our Environment

We do all we can to reduce our impact upon the environment by managing our carbon footprint, reducing our consumption of materials, avoiding waste, recycling effectively and ensuring that our materials are obtained from renewable sources whenever possible.

Our Community

We continue to support our nominated charities and local non-profit organisations:

Bertrams School Johannesburg

We have visited and continue to take a keen interest in the welfare of the Bertram’s School in Johannesburg that provides essential education for over 500 students. We have undertaken a number of fund-raising projects to help expand access to education for local children, supply uniforms, and build additional facilities for this growing community.

Paul Evans, Momentous’ Chairman, has given speeches promoting the plight of the school and encouraging donations at prestigious industry events including the FIDI Conference.

Marie Curie Cancer Care

We operate a charity box scheme through which we collect unwanted household goods for distribution through Marie Curie’s national network of charity shops.
We support the annual Marie Curie Carols in the City Concert, along with several other events during the year.

Our Commitment to Compliance & Security

We aim to maintain the highest standards of data protection, financial reporting and health and safety.

Our CSR Policy sets out our objectives and details our progress towards these goals and our strategic approach to corporate social responsibility. The policy forms part of our basic business principles that are anchored in our company’s values.
